Join the Team
The Wilshire Farms Swim Team has two programs - a competitive team and a pre-compete program that practice from late May to mid-July.
Registration for residents and retuning swimmers opens on March 1st each year.
Non-residents can join our waitlist on Jan 1st each year. Due to Southland Swim Association league rules, our team prioritizes non-resident families that live within the boundaries of Blue Valley West and Blue Valley High School. If you live in the boundaries of another school, you must have permission from the team within your public high school's boundary to join our team.
We will notify families by mid-March if we have space for swimmers.
Competitive Team
All swimmers must be at least 6 and completed Kindergarten and 18 or younger on June 1st. Swim team age groups are based on the swimmer's age as of June 1 (8 and under, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14, and 15-18).
Swimmers compete within their age groups during weekly swim meets against other Southland Swim Association teams. Meets are typically held on Wednesday evenings in June through mid-July. Every family with a swimmer must volunteer at meets. See our volunteer requirements here.
New swimmers who are 10 or younger must take a swim test to ensure the safety of all swimmers. See swim test requirements here.
Once you have joined our team, all previous years' swimmers and siblings are able to register for future years during the registration period in early March.
Our team is able to accept non-resident swimmers on a limited basis. Interested non-residents should join our non-resident waitlist in early January. Swimmers are added on a first-come, first-serve basis based on age-group availability.
Pre-compete team
The Wilshire Farms Swim Team offers a pre-compete swim program for 4 to 8 year-olds for 30 min practice sessions twice per week with Stingray coaches. Each enrolled child must be able to swim across the pool in freestyle or backstroke.
We must have at least 10 registered kids to run the program. This program is not limited to residents. Registration is capped at 15.
NOTE: Participating in the pre-compete team does not guarantee a spot on the Wilshire Farms Swim Team for the following year. Pre-compete swimmers who are not residents or Wilshire Farms or do not have older siblings on the team will need to join the waitlist in January of the following year.
